This meant that she had to slow her tempo and devote extra outside time as she was building a foundational understanding of the law and authorized terms. In California, the supervising lawyer needs to have been working towards law in the state for at least five years and they should spend a minimum of 5 hours per week directly supervising you. Oatfield advises finding a supervising attorney who’s training in areas of regulation that you just want to study and ultimately practice in yourself.
